Remote Screenshots & Monitoring
Fami Hero enables parents to verify what is on their child's screen in real time. This guide covers how to capture remote screenshots on demand, view historical captures, and details the security and privacy protections applied.
📸 1. Triggering On-Demand Screenshots
Parents can request an immediate snapshot of the child's active screen from the Parent App.
How to Capture a Screenshot:
- Open the Fami Hero Parent App and select your child's profile.
- Tap the Monitoring or Screenshots tab.
- Tap Capture.
- The Parent App sends a secure, background command to the child's device.
- Within 3 to 5 seconds, the child's device takes a screenshot and uploads it to the encrypted Fami Hero storage.
- The Parent App refreshes and displays the new image in the feed.

🗃️ 2. Browsing the Screenshot History Feed
All successfully captured screenshots are kept in a secure, scrollable history feed, allowing parents to review past activity.
Feed Controls:
- Time Filters: View screenshots taken today, yesterday, or select a custom date.
- App Context: Each screenshot is labeled with the app name that was open at the moment of capture (e.g., "YouTube", "Chrome", "TikTok").
- Zoom View: Tap any thumbnail to open the image in full screen.
- Delete: Parents can tap the trash icon to permanently remove an image from the server log.
