Parent App Setup

This guide covers first-time setup for the Fami Hero Parent App.

Sign In or Create an Account​

  1. Open the app and tap Get Started.
  2. Sign in with your existing account, create a new account, or use Google sign-in.
  3. If needed, use Forgot password and complete the flow: email -> verification code -> new password.

Allow Notification Permission​

On Android 13+, allow notification permission when prompted.

This is required for important events like:

  • SOS alerts
  • Time requests
  • Screenshot-ready alerts

Understand the Main Tabs​

After login, the main tabs are:

  • Dashboard
  • Screen time
  • Location
  • Menu

First-Time Checklist​

  1. Create a profile and pair a child device in Manage Child Profiles.
  2. Complete the child-side pairing in Child App Pairing.
  3. Configure rules in Screen Time Controls.
  4. Configure map safety in Location and Safe Zones.
  5. Review advanced controls in Menu and Security Controls.
