Remote Monitoring Requests

Parents can send remote monitoring requests to the child device. This page explains what appears on Android.

Remote Camera Request

When a parent requests camera access:

  1. Child sees a request dialog.
  2. Child can Accept or Deny.
  3. On first use, Android may also ask for camera permission.

If accepted, the child device starts camera streaming.

Screen Mirror Request

For screen mirroring:

  • Android shows the system screen-capture permission prompt.
  • Child must approve that system prompt to continue.
  • The app may move to background automatically while capture starts.

Remote Screenshot Request

For one-time screenshot capture:

  • Android shows the same system screen-capture prompt.
  • Child can allow or deny.
  • If allowed, a screenshot is captured and sent to parent-side session flow.

Safety Notes

  • If denied, parent must send a new request to try again.
  • During active screen mirror, Android shows a foreground capture notification.
