Location and SOS

Fami Hero Kids includes a Location tab and SOS features for urgent situations.

Location Tab​

On the Location tab, children can see:

  • Current location on the map
  • Child avatar marker
  • SOS button

Location depends on granted location permission and active network/GPS.

In-App SOS Flow​

When a child taps SOS in the app:

  1. A 5-second countdown starts.
  2. Child can cancel during countdown.
  3. If not canceled, SOS is sent to parent with current location details.

After successful send, the app shows an SOS delivered confirmation.

Home-Screen SOS Widget​

Android users can add the FamiHero SOS widget to the home screen.

  • Widget SOS sends immediately (no in-app countdown screen).
  • The app shows success/failure feedback after send.
  • Useful for faster emergency access.

If SOS Fails​

  • Check internet connection.
  • Confirm location permission is still enabled.
  • Disable aggressive battery restrictions for the child app.
