Child Daily Experience
This page explains what your child usually sees on their device during normal use.
During Normal Usage
- Allowed apps open normally.
- Home shows child profile, plus status cards for limits/blocked apps when applicable.
- Usage time is tracked in the background.
Home Status Sections
Depending on active rules, the Home screen can show:
- App Limits (usage progress and limited apps/groups)
- Always Blocked apps
- Available During Downtime apps (apps still usable while downtime is active)
Blocked-App Experience
When a child opens a blocked app, Fami Hero Kids shows a full-screen block view with a reason:
- Pause for Fun (app limit reached)
- Sleepy Time (downtime)
- Screen-Free Time (instant lock from parent)
- Not Quite Ready (always blocked app)
For app-limit blocks, the child can request more time directly from that screen.
